Lemuteporfin topical solution (LTS) is a potent and selective photodynamic therapy (PDT) approach to targeting sebaceous glands in diseases characterized by excessive sebaceous gland activity, such as acne. Our objective with LTS is to achieve sebaceous gland effects similar to those elicited by AccutaneTM (isotretinoin) in acne without the risk of systemic toxicity or damage to surrounding skin structures. We are presently initiating a Phase 1/2 clinical proof of concept study with LTS.
